The heads of state arrived at the cosmodrome around 10.45 Minsk time. They initially flew around the site by helicopter, and then got acquainted with the cosmodrome construction process.
The presidents met with Vostochny’s cosmonauts and employees. As Vladimir Putin said, Belarusian specialists will soon be able to participate in the Vostochny cosmodrome development. In turn, Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed that the Belarusian side is ready to send its builders to the site as soon as possible.
Earlier, the Belarusian leader’s press service informed that the presidents will discuss topical issues related to development of bilateral relations, measures to counter sanctions pressure, the situation in the region and the world, and events in Ukraine.
