Lukashenko, Putin continued informal communication after Supreme State Council meeting

President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko and President of Russia Vladimir Putin continued their informal communication after the meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State in Minsk, BelTA reports

"The work continues in private,” the Pul Pervogo Telegram channel reported.

According to the media resource, Aleksandr Lukashenko invited his Russian counterpart home.

The meeting of the Supreme State Council was held in Minsk on December 6th on the eve of the 25th anniversary of the Union State Treaty signing. Following the meeting, Belarus and Russia agreed on important decisions in various fields. In particular, the parties concluded an interstate agreement on security guarantees and approved the Security Concept of the Union State.

Several decisions relate to strengthening the social protection of citizens and deepening economic co-operation between Belarus and Russia.

After the meeting, it also became known that Russia will deploy the Oreshnik missile system on the Belarusian territory.
