Lukashenko: providing Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine could escalate situation to nuclear war
The supply of Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine will escalate the situation to a nuclear war — as stated by President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko at today’s meeting discussing the global international situation and the development of Belarusian-US relations
The Head of State emphasised that his recent meetings with the Russian President show that Russia and its leadership are seeking to achieve peace in Ukraine, “No Tomahawk missiles will solve the problem. Their use will escalate the situation into a nuclear war. This is likely well understood by Donald Trump, who is reluctant to provide these deadly weapons that could reach deep into Russia, as Zelenskyy hopes.”
Aleksandr Lukashenko believes that Belarus, as Russia’s closest ally, has a specific role to play in resolving the Ukrainian crisis and establishing a regional security architecture. “The Americans recognise our role in this process. We possess certain capabilities and potential,” he added.
