Lukashenko: Oreshnik missile system launcher is fully Belarus-made
The newest Russian medium-range ballistic missile system, Oreshnik, uses a Belarusian launcher – as stated by President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko in a conversation with the staff of the POZHSNAB producer of fire and rescue equipment in Borisov
In particular, the Head of State informed that Oreshnik’s launcher is Belarus-made – ‘except for the rocket’, “Localisation is of the highest degree. I told him [Russian President Vladimir Putin] that were not raising the issue of the rocket production. If necessary, we could do it together, we have enough competencies in this regard, we will help – following the example of the nuclear power plant. Meanwhile, Belarus will produce a launcher at the Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant. Even more serious products are manufactured at this enterprise. So, let's work together.”
