Lukashenko on Zelenskyy’s stance and those willing to snatch part of Ukraine: extremely serious dust-up
Volodymyr Zelensky must make the decisions essential for a peaceful settlement quicker to prevent Ukraine from disappearing as a state — as stated by President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko to Russian journalists on the sidelines of the CIS summit in Tajikistan, BelTA reports

Journalists asked Aleksandr Lukashenko for his opinion about when Ukraine's leadership would realise that negotiations are better than war. Replying to the question, the Belarusian leader noted that previously he was inclined to blame European leaders for their inability to negotiate. According to the President of Belarus, in this respect, however, Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s position should also be taken into account.
“We have been receiving plenty of information recently that the thing is not with the United States, which is very keen on advancing it [the peace process] — neither is with Russia, which is ready to move forward, nor European leaders, but the problem is rather with Volodymyr Oleksandrovych Zelenskyy. I believe he understands and will realise everything,” the Belarusian leader stated.
However, the President of Belarus highlighted the situation Volodymyr Zelenskyy finds himself in, “Who is he if he takes these steps out of the blue, as he understands them? It seems to me that Volodymyr Oleksandrovych is inclined to be severely pressured from outside. Then, under this pressure, he will make appropriate decisions.”
At the same time, Aleksandr Lukashenko is convinced that such decisions must be made urgently to avoid the scenario where Ukraine may disappear as a state, “He must act urgently. Russia is advancing on the front. I say this responsibly, because I virtually see it every day. And this could lead to Ukraine disappearing as a state.”
In addition, the Belarusian leader stated that Ukraine's western neighbours have their own interests in the conflict, “Look at these neighbours gone mad, first and foremost, to the west of Ukraine. These well-known forces and states see themselves in Western Ukraine. They are already ready to snatch a part of Ukraine, as was the case before the beginning of the Great Patriotic War. You know as well what I am talking about. That is why the dust-up is extremely serious down there,” the President of Belarus stated.
“I'd like and I’ll say it again, for the President of Ukraine to understand my proposals and realise that no one but the Slavic states will bring him happiness in Ukraine . Therefore, he has to sit down and come to an agreement.”
