Lukashenko on working trip to Myadel District focusing agricultural sector

The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, is going to the Myadel District of the Minsk Region as part of a series of his working trips focusing on the issues of the harvesting campaign and development of the agricultural sector in general, BelTA reports

In the Myadel District, the President will visit the Minskoblagroservice agricultural branch to be informed there on how the harvesting campaign is progressing in the country and in the region. A pilot project dealing with creation of an effectively functioning agricultural organisation from scratch will be discussed as well.

The Minskoblagroservice agricultural branch was established and registered on November 22nd, 2021. For this purpose, farmlands of inefficiently working agricultural organisations of the Myadel District were allocated. The agricultural lands make 8,800 hectares here, including arable land of 4,300 hectares. The area will be extended in the future. The branch specialises mainly in crop production with subsequent provision of poultry factories and pig breeding complexes of the Minsk Region with grain.

As previously reported, the Head of State held a republican conference on the harvesting campaign a week ago. Specific tasks were set and a detailed analysis of problematic issues was conducted. Aleksandr Lukashenko then announced a series of regional trips to study the situation at the local level. The Slutsk District became his first destination: the President visited it on July 29th.
