Lukashenko on the trigger for tactical nuclear weapons use: Belarus has enough other weapons to fight back

During his Address to the Belarusian People and the National Assembly, the Head of State touched upon the topic of tactical nuclear weapons, answering a question of Aleksandr Versotsky, the Chairman of the Svisloch District Executive Committee, about the reaction of the fugitives and the West, about the deployment of nuclear weapons on the territory of Belarus and about a possible trigger for their use

“We will not cross the border of Belarus on our own initiative. This will never happen. Our land is enough for us. I have just talked about demographic security. God grant us twice as many people in this territory as there are now. Therefore, we are not going to attack anyone. At the same time, we will not allow a foreign soldier or a foreigner who is unfriendly to us to cross our border. We will react adequately," the Head of State said.

Aleksandr Lukashenko added that nuclear weapons will not be used, since there are enough other weapons in Belarus to fight such aggression back, “If this happens, we will react adequately, symmetrically. If we see that such actions are aimed at the destruction of our country, then we will use everything we have at our disposal. Why should we use nuclear weapons if our fugitives are ahead of us, followed by the 101st Division (which I spoke about), where the targets have already been outlined for penetrating into the Belarusian territory. We have enough other weapons to fight this back. However, if we see that such actions envisage the destruction of our country, then we will use everything we have.”
