Lukashenko on Supreme State Council meeting: this is a case where we can and should discuss existing problems
President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has convened a session today on preparations for tomorrow’s meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State, with the leadership of the Government, the President Administration, and Belarus’ Security Council invited to the Independence Palace
The Head of State drew the attention of the participants of the event to the fact that he had met with the State Secretary of the Union State Dmitry Mezentsev before the session, “We have just discussed the agenda of tomorrow’s meeting of the Supreme State Council in general terms. And we have outlined conceptual things for all our problems. However, I invited you first of all to hear your position on the observance of our interests both at tomorrow’s meeting of the Supreme State Council and in our Belarusian-Russian relations. What are the problems in the economy, national security and in other fields? In particular, I would like to hear your position on those issues that will be considered at the general meeting tomorrow.”
The President stressed that the entire leadership of the Russian Federation will be present at the Supreme State Council meeting in Minsk, “This is the case where we can and should discuss the problems that exist in our relationships. Naturally, there will be. But there are problems that must be settled at this stage.”
