Lukashenko on situation in Ukraine: the culmination will happen soon
In the near future, a culmination of the situation in Ukraine should happen – as noted by the President of Belarus, answering the questions of the participants of the open lesson, entitled Historical Memory – the Road to the Future. Aleksandr Lukashenko said that the United States currently perceives China and Russia as its main opponents, which the Americans need to deal with in order to maintain hegemony in the world.
“They will fight to the last. Howitzers, MLRS, now stealth fighters are to be delivered there [to Ukraine]. I’m afraid that it will come to nuclear weapons. That’s why I told Putin that if suddenly there is an attack on Belarus and if the Americans continue to promote these weapons to Poland, we should have these tactical nuclear weapons (not now, not tomorrow, not the day after tomorrow). We have agreed to modernise several of our aircraft, which will be ready to carry tactical nuclear weapons. We are not peddling this topic, because the Americans have stopped, they do not climb into Poland with nuclear weapons. We do not escalate the situation here, but we will defend ourselves in every possible way.”
As far as Ukraine is concerned, Aleksandr Lukashenko noted that now everything there depends not on the president, but on the military, “They are dying there. They see that it is futile. A conflict is brewing between the president and the military. Only the military can say that it’s necessary to negotiate, because Ukraine will be wiped off the face of the earth. Rich black soil is already being taken out, loaded into wagons and taken out. There will be a culmination soon.”
