Lukashenko on resolution of European Parliament: it’s kowtow to 'elder brothers' from Washington
The European Parliament resolution with a direct call not to recognise the results of the Presidential election in Belarus even before the start of voting has no meaning for Belarusians – as stated by President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko after casting his vote today at a Minsk polling station
The Head of State noted, “It is kowtow to 'elder brothers' from Washington. If you really have such a principled attitude towards the election, then tell them something about the American elections – but you are not so brave to do that. But you can act this way here: they know that no punishment will follow. Well, they made a statement, and it has caused laughter from some experts even in the United States. How is it possible to assess something that has not yet happened? This statement has zero value. We are holding the election for our people. By the end of the day, by tomorrow morning, we will know all the assessments and draw the appropriate conclusions – and it will be up to you, journalists, to decide how to evaluate it.”
