Lukashenko on migrant workers: treat them like our own people
Belarus should invite migrant workers from former Soviet republics, preferably with their families, and treat them as its own people — as noted by President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko during a working trip to the Petrikov District on October 4th

At the Lyaskovichi Dairy Farm, the Belarusian leader asked Andrei Eliseyev, Deputy Director of the Gomel United Construction Trust, how many workers are in his staff.
“Eighty at this facility, and 400 workers in the trust in general,” Andrei Eliseyev replied, adding that he would like to have more because there are many facilities.
In response, the President of Belarus suggested attracting migrant workers from the former Soviet republics. In fact, the Lyaskovichi Dairy Farm already employs several workers from Turkmenistan — they work well, no complaints.
“Invite people, there's no need to be shy. We need to treat them like our own people,” Aleksandr Lukashenko pointed out. “We need to educate their children and provide them with medical care as well. They are our people, after all.”
