Lukashenko on a working visit to Russia

The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, went on a working visit to the Russian Federation, with the plane of the Head of State taking off from the Minsk National Airport – as reported by BelTA

In St. Petersburg, on December 28th, the President of Belarus will take part in an informal meeting of the CIS heads of states. The leaders of the countries will sum up the results of Belarus’ chairmanship in the CIS in 2021, share opinions of the solution of common pressing problems, and discuss further measures aiming to raise the efficiency of co-operation and socio-economic development of the CIS countries. The upcoming meeting is special, because the 30th anniversary since the foundation of the CIS is marked in December.

A meeting between Aleksandr Lukashenko and President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, is scheduled for December 29th. The heads of state will discuss topical issues of Belarusian-Russian interaction.

Aleksandr Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin discussed the programme of events during the visit to St. Petersburg during their telephone conversation on December 25th.
