The Belarusian leader noted that in December last year in Oman, the sides discussed launching two or three joint projects at first, and then moving forward, “It is fair to say that our business is fulfilling this task. With our projects in Oman, we are strengthening food security not only in Oman, but throughout your region as well. Oman’s investments in the wood processing sector will allow us to make more effective use of Belarus' natural wealth. Moreover, intensive contacts have made it possible to form a serious set of additional projects.”

Aleksandr Lukashenko expressed his gratitude to the Omanis for their interest in jointly assembling and selling MAZ and AMKODOR equipment, “Belarusian enterprises are ready to shift their co-operation with the partner chosen by the Omani side (the Karva Motors company) towards practical reality. As a result, we expect to establish a strong and long-term support point in Oman — a hub for promoting Belarusian products in the Persian Gulf and East Africa regions.”
