Lukashenko: no way back for outright criminals

At a meeting on the socio-political situation and the state of crime in the country, the President of Belarus made a special emphasis on the fact that everyone who has embarked on the path of correction and wants to make amends should be given a chance for understanding and leniency, but this applies only to those who deserve forgiveness

Aleksandr Lukashenko underlined, “Those who deliberately violated the law, endangered human lives, and continue destructive activities against our country with the support of Western intelligence agencies, will be held accountable before the law. We adjusted our law, making it slightly more rigorous. Moreover, some of those who fled there (they definitely want to eat) toughened their position and now they are betting on the use of force and the establishment of illegal paramilitary formations. In this case, there is no way back and never will be.”

The Head of State clarified whom he is talking about, “All these members of the Kalinovsky regiment and others will answer not just according to the law. There will be only one conversation with them: destruction. They understand it. Unless, of course, they survive ... The Kalinovsky regiment in Ukraine, units in Lithuania and Poland. The official authorities are trying to distance from them, but we see this very well. We clearly understand and know.”

The President drew attention to how such formations are being prepared, “They are sent to the front. They are told to go to the front and train before being sent to Belarus to overthrow the government, organise a protest, a war game. But they are told that it is necessary to train and to go to the front.”

However, such trips do not always end successfully for their participants. The President spoke about one of the episodes, “Recently at the front they came under fire, and many died. But how many remained disabled. Who needs them today? No one. But this is their choice. They must know that we will deal with them according to the laws of war.”
