Lukashenko: much money invested into transplantology

“We have invested much money [into transplantology], and I have no regrets,” Belarus’ President said as he visited Minsk Scientific and Practical Centre of Surgery, Transplantology and Haematology today

The President addressed doctors, saying that all the promises related to development of transplantology and the Centre as a whole – which were made several years ago by the Centre’s Director, Oleg Rummo, on behalf of himself and the team – had been fulfilled.

Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasised that, importantly, almost any Belarusian industry uses high-tech elements. “Maybe not everyone understands this now, but they will understand when the time comes. This is because the highest technologies – whether spacecraft that we make, a nuclear power plant, and you in medicine – are always a prospect. This is what we focus on. I would like to say it once again: not all people understand it since not everyone sees them, but we have the highest technologies in every industry. These include manipulations, operations, and works – including in woodworking, healthcare, and others. It should be like this everywhere. If we stop and lose these beacons to strive for, the country will disappear. We will turn into a bad country,” the Head of State said.
