Lukashenko: mining and processing facility will radically change economy of entire Minsk Region after its launch
Once launched, the mining and processing facility under construction will radically transform not only the local economy, but also that of the entire Minsk Region — as noted by President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko during a meeting on the construction and commissioning of a mining and processing complex in the Lyuban District
The meeting discusses the completion of one of the country’s largest investment projects. “Once launched, the mining and processing facility under construction will transform not only the economy of the Lyuban District, but also that of the entire Minsk Region. It will create new jobs with good wages. As has already happened in Ostrovets, Rudensk and, more recently, Petrikov, the population will grow and people’s standard of living will improve,” the Head of State emphasised.
“We have already set a certain ‘gold standard’ in Ostrovets not just for the development of the district, but also for the area in which the nuclear power plant is located. Now it’s Lyuban’s turn… This is construction site number one,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
