Lukashenko: microelectronics in the top, Belarus to develop it
The microelectronics industry is in high demand today, and the state will support its development – as noted by President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko during his today’s visit to INTEGRAL JSC – INTEGRAL Holding Managing Company
INTEGRAL General Director Andrei Buinevich reported to the Head of State on the financial and economic condition and development prospects of the holding, and also familiarised the President with the exhibition of products.
Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed that, starting from next year, only the projects that are necessary for the economy and people, the productions that the market needs today and in which Belarusians have competencies will be implemented as part of the state investment programme. “At my suggestion and following my strict demand, we are now talking much about the development, investment programmes, and investing money,” the Head of State noted. “Microelectronics is in the top today! There will be no [development] without it in the future. What artificial intelligence and other related aspects are possible without it?”
The Belarusian leader added that he had signed the state investment programme not immediately, noting that the projects already being implemented need to be definitely completed. “Starting from next year, according to the investment programmes, we will develop only the branches that are needed for our life – primarily, production. If there is production, there is life. The question of what path to choose arises, as natural. Once again, I have been guided by our life in demanding to develop the areas where we have competencies and a base. With this in view, I demanded that money be invested in the development of the competencies that we have.” As an example, the Head of State mentioned the development of the automotive industry in the country and, in particular, the production of electric vehicles, which requires the development of relevant industries, including energy.
