Lukashenko, Merkel had a phone talk

The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has talked on the phone with the Acting Federal Chancellor of Germany, Angela Merkel – as reported by the Pul Pervogo Telegram channel

Aleksandr Lukashenko and Angela Merkel have had a telephone conversation tonight which lasted about 50 minutes.

The sides discussed a range of problems – primarily, the situation with refugees on the Belarusian-Polish, Belarusian-Lithuanian and Belarusian-Latvian borders.

Ways and prospects of solving the migration problem in order to prevent escalation of the situation on the border were discussed in detail. Humanitarian support of refugees through rendering humanitarian aid to them was another important issue which the President of Belarus and the Acting Federal Chancellor of Germany spoke about in detail.

Aleksandr Lukashenko and Angela Merkel agreed on further contacts to resolve the situation.
