Lukashenko made personnel appointments in military bloc

The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has made personnel appointments in the military bloc, signing the relevant decrees on February 9th – as reported in the Belarusian leader’s press service

Aleksandr Lukashenko has appointed Colonel Vadim Romaniv Chief Signal Officer – Head of the Signal Division of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Belarus. Colonel Dmitry Bitny has been appointed to the post of Deputy Commander of the Western Operational Command.

The President also released Major General Igor Korol of the post of First Deputy Chief of the General Staff and dismissed him from military service to the reserve due to his age with the right to wear military uniform and insignia.
