Lukashenko: intensified co-operation with SCO, BRICS and ASEAN is our response to sanctions pressure

In the face of Western sanctions, the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union should interact more actively with other major regional associations – as noted by the President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, at today’s Supreme Eurasian Economic Council meeting in the Russian capital

"Our response to the sanctions pressure incudes the intensification of liaisons with the SCO, BRICS and ASEAN, the conclusion of new trade agreements and constructive mutually beneficial co-operation with all those who are ready to be friends with us and jointly work,” Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed.

At the same time, the President emphasised that a balance of interests of all participants should be ensured. “The task is not easy, but I am sure the Commission has the necessary skills and competencies,” he said.
