Among those present at the meeting were Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly Vladimir Andreichenko, First Deputy Head of the President Administration Maksim Ryzhenkov, Deputy Head of the President Administration Olga Chupris, Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives Valery Mitskevich, Chairman of the Central Election Commission Igor Karpenko, and Head of the Secretariat of the House of Representatives Andrei Naumovich.

Aleksandr Lukashenko set a task for the meeting participants, “There’re six of you here and you should involve whoever you think is necessary. People will hear my position today. The Parliament, the President Administration, the Government, the Property Management Directorate, and other state authorities will join in and work in the course that you set during this transition period from one convocation of Parliament to the next. Everything must be done to ensure that deputies begin their work without any delay.”

The Belarusian leader particularly guided those present to help the Government in the formation of the Belarusian People’s Congress and preparation for its meeting, “Think about the plan, and how we will conduct the meeting. It is constitutionally determined by law when the first session must take place. We must do everything according to the law and see what issues we need to discuss as a matter of priority during the first meeting of the Belarusian People’s Congress.”
