Lukashenko instructed to form group within National Bank to analyse economic situation

While being reported today by Belarus’ Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin, President Aleksandr Lukashenko has ordered the formation of a team within the National Bank to assess the current economic situation in the republic

The President stated that he had requested former PM and current Chairman of the National Bank’s Board, Roman Golovchenko, to create a team of experts within the National Bank to oversee the economic situation.

“They should keep me informed and analyse the economic situation. Money shows everything. Since you’re an economist, you understand this. So, with no offense intended, I asked Golovchenko to form such a group within the National Bank, lead it, and analyse and report to me objectively. My impression may differ from that of the experts. Of course, this information will not be classified. The PM should and will have access to it,” the Head of State highlighted.
