In particular, when commenting on the report of Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko about the situation in the economy, the President stated that the country has actually lost the Ukrainian market, though the turnover there made $7bn. “It is clear why we have lost it. It got to the point that these scoundrels began to capture our people there, primarily truck drivers who were on their territory. They arrested about 1,500 railway cars of ours, captured our vehicles and up to a hundred guys who were driving those trucks,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said. “I warned Ukrainians that we would be forced to carry out a special operation to free these people. We executed such a special operation and freed all our people.”

The Head of State ordered the Chairman of the State Security Committee, Ivan Tertel, to confer state honours upon all those who participated in that special operation. “They did a great job!” the President stressed.

The Head of State also said that if there are still Belarusians left over there, it is necessary to strictly set a condition for the Ukrainian side. Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei was instructed to inform the Ambassador of Ukraine to Belarus on this position. “If this is not done, then we will respond in a different way. They risk a lot. After all, there are a lot of Ukrainians led by the ambassador here. We treat them according to the law, humanely,” Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed.
