Lukashenko informed on important decision he is ready to make
The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has instructed to prepare a straightforward decree regulating advertising in the mass media, BelTA reports
At today’s meeting on current issues of the mass media activity, the Head of State stressed that advertising should be placed on patriotic pro-state channels that work to protect the state, preserve peace and calm in the country, and not on those that attempt to destroy Belarus.
"A decree on advertising should be straightforward and clear-cut. I am even ready to make such a decision. We may be criticised and castigated but we must understand: the money has been earned in our country and by efforts of our people, so this money should be used to protect and support our state. That's all. I am telling you this openly,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
At the same time, the Belarusian leader warned media managers and journalists against succumbing to stardom. “We will not allow you this. You know me well. I praise for the good, but scold for bad things – to say the least. It is necessary to proceed from this,” he emphasised.
