Lukashenko: Independence Day embodies sovereign nation's faith in happy future

Belarus’ President Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated all Belarusians on Independence Day, sb.by reports with reference to the press service of the Head of State

“I congratulate you on Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus (Republic Day) – a holiday that embodies heroism, labour valour and the faith of the sovereign and strong-minded nation in a happy future,” the message of greetings reads.

In his congratulation address, the President stressed that the date of liberation of the capital of the Motherland from fascist oppression marked the restoration of peaceful life and forever became a symbol of the struggle for freedom, an example of courage and a never fading landmark for new generations for Belarusians.

“By multiplying the legacy of the past with work and talents of our contemporaries, by defending our original values and truth, we are consistently moving towards success along the path of justice and creation,” the Head of State noted.

Aleksandr Lukashenko is convinced that the memory of the heroic past and commitment to the common cause, love for the Motherland and pride for its achievements will help Belarusians make the republic prosperous and successful.

“On this special day, I wish you all good health, peace and kindness. Happy Republic Day!” the Belarusian leader addressed all Belarusians.
