In his talk to the hospital personnel, Aleksandr Lukashenko noted, “We need to withstand this period. If we fail to survive it, we’ll stop to be a state. Our days will be numbered. I have previously said that the major powers are trying to divide the world among themselves. How are they doing this? This is done through forcing, crushing others, wiping their feet on them. Meanwhile, we have to withstand. This is the task. We also need to carry out constitutional reforms. You have also asked for changes and distribution of powers. We’ll do this – as you have wished.”

The Head of State stressed that the country would definitely hold out, “If you listen to me and hear what I am telling you.”

“The question is not about me today, it’s not about Lukashenko’s staying in power. This is not the point. Our children and our land on which we live are the heart of the problem,” Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasised.
