Lukashenko: I believe Russians will overcome all difficulties with fortitude

The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, congratulated Russian President Vladimir Putin on Russia Day – as reported by the Belarusian leader’s press service

The Head of State noted that Russia is confidently defending its national interests in difficult geopolitical conditions, while successfully implementing plans to ensure dynamic socio-economic development.

"Patriotism and solidarity of citizens, support and a high level of confidence in the course pursued by the country's leadership is a worthy response to the unfriendly actions taken against Russia. I have no doubt that Russians, as it has happened many times over the years, will overcome all difficulties and trials with fortitude," the Belarusian leader stressed.

The President believes the Minsk-Moscow truly allied relations fully meet the interests of the fraternal peoples of both states.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished all the best, good health and well-being to Vladimir Putin, and peace and harmony to the people of Russia.

Belarus’ Head of State also sent congratulatory messages to Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Chairperson of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly Valentina Matviyenko, and Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly Vyacheslav Volodin.
