Lukashenko headed to Moscow for talks with Putin
The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has gone on a working visit to the Russian Federation, BelTA reports
Talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin will take place in Moscow and will focus on a wide range of issues – including development of trade and economic co-operation, topical security challenges in the region and joint actions to ensure the two states’ national interests. International issues will also be on the agenda.
After inspecting the Allied Resolve 2022 Belarusian-Russian exercises yesterday, Aleksandr Lukashenko informed that further actions of the joint group of forces will be discussed with Vladimir Putin as well.
The Head of State also reported on a telephone conversation with the Russian leader that took place on February 16th. "We agreed on an action plan for Friday and Saturday, because the exercises will continue on Saturday as well. The Russian side will later inform you on what kind of exercises these will be, and what sites Putin and I will visit to inspect the exercises,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
