Ambassador Rashid Hammad Al-Adwani conveyed sincere wishes from the Emir of Kuwait to the President of Belarus, stressing the focus on developing relations with our country.

“Give the Emir my kindest and warmest wishes. I think we will meet with him soon. I have very friendly relations with him,” Aleksandr Lukashenko replied.

The diplomat, in turn, confirmed that his country would be glad to welcome the Belarusian leader and expect him to visit.

During today’s ceremony of presenting credentials, Aleksandr Lukashenko named Kuwait an important partner for Belarus in the Middle East region. “We highly appreciate your country’s commitment to the peaceful settlement of conflicts and crises (you are seriously involved in this, as is Belarus), as well as humanitarian efforts in the international arena,” the President stressed. “This is in line with our peaceful initiatives to launch a broad international dialogue on principles and guarantees of security.” The Head of State underlined Belarus’ readiness to make every effort to build up trade-economic and investment partnership across all areas.
