The presidents of Belarus and Turkey, Aleksandr Lukashenko and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, had a telephone conversation on Monday evening – as reported to BelTA by the Belarusian leader’s press service
The main topic of the heads of state’s talk was the events in the centre of Europe and, accordingly, the issues of war and peace.
The Belarusian and Turkish leaders discussed in detail the conflict in Ukraine, the Russia-Ukraine negotiations that began on February 28th in Belarus, while also focusing on promotion of the peace process.
The Turkish President declared his readiness to contribute in every way to the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine. In turn, Aleksandr Lukashenko noted that this position fully coincides with the Belarusian one.
