Touching upon the prospects of the Belarusian-American dialogue, Aleksandr Lukashenko noted, “Perhaps we need to work out some kind of plan for our relations with Americans and for resolving the issues that will be raised by us and them during the negotiations – and to consolidate it at the highest level.”

Addressing the meeting participants, the Head of State added, “I really hope that, in this narrow circle, you will make specific proposals, express your opinions so that, perhaps (we’ll see how it will look in the future), we can consider this issue at a meeting of Belarus’ Security Council. It is necessary that these global issues that I have mentioned, especially the Belarusian-American relations, be discussed by a wider circle and collective decisions taken.”
