“I emphasise once again: all intermediaries for Belarusian products should be removed. Only direct sales should be, thus enabling us to save much,” the President said. In this regard, he mentioned MTZ, MAZ, BELAZ and other enterprises that use intermediaries to export their goods. According to the Belarusian leader, these companies think that they sold their goods to some persons – who, perhaps, even give bribes to the management of certain enterprises – and these dealers would sell them somewhere.

“We saw what such dealership led to. Therefore, I immediately advise all heads of enterprises (both large and small, and medium-sized, and private, and state): you should be dealers yourselves, you should sell your products in the markets yourselves,” Aleksandr Lukashenko demanded. “If you allow some of the private traders to sell, let the minister approve this decision.”

As far as the purchase of imported goods are concerned, according to the President, the state intends to strictly control the pricing process. “We will check where prices have risen 5-10 times here. If it is justified, let it be so. If not, we are good at counting, and you will be held accountable under the Criminal Code,” the Belarusian leader warned.
