Addressing Deputy Prime Minister Piotr Parkhomchik, the Head of State noted that he ‘should be more interested in the light industry’, and also asked him to clearly identify the problems of the industry, “How do we work? What haven’t we done? What problems are there?”
Tatiana Lugina thanked the President for the fact that at one time Belarus managed to save the industry, “Aleksandr Grigoryevich, let me take this opportunity to thank you...”
“For the President’s merch?” the Belarusian leader clarified.
“For light industry,” Ms. Lugina replied.
“Alongside the President’s merch, we have enough people who would like to dress normally. Therefore, you don’t have to thank me,” Aleksandr Lukashenko noted.
At the same time, according to Bellegprom Chairperson, both the Head of State and the Government pay close attention to light industry, thanks to which the industry has been preserved and developed steadily over the decades.
