Lukashenko declared priority of human freedom in his further work
During today’s conversation with MAZ employees, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has stated the priority of human freedom in his further work, BelTA reports
“I must tell you, if I have to work as President, one of my main directions will be to encourage people to speak out and to avoid this unnecessary over-organisation,” the Head of State said. “For me, human freedom will be the most important area of work. But freedom, as I was once taught: you are a person, you are free. But one person’s shoulder is nearby, and the other’s shoulder is here. Don’t push them. This is your freedom, and this is theirs, and you don’t interfere with it.”
“A person is free to live freely in his country, but don’t interfere with others. That’s my demand. Don’t believe anyone, if someone comes and close your mouth, not allowing you to speak out. You are welcome to speak. But it’s one thing when you’re talking one-on-one, it’s another thing when you’re talking in a team of five people. It’s different when you have a huge team of thousands, and it’s quite another when you’re on television or blogging. You have to be responsible, you give your information to millions of people,” Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasised.
The Belarusian leader stressed that he bears responsibility for his words, and so should everyone.
“This is popularly known as: ‘live freely, but don’t interfere with the lives of others’. This will be one of the directions. It is in line with what I always say that we should build our lives without war. This is the top priority,” the President added.
