Lukashenko: COVID cases declining in Belarus

While attending the solemn opening of the Mogilev Regional Clinical Hospital’s cardiac surgery and therapeutics buildings, the Head of State stressed, “We are not simply moving down from the latest peak (especially in relation to hospital admission and pneumonia cases) but have already slid down.”

“Many regional centres are already reducing the number of beds for COVID patients. We have begun providing routine care in full volume,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.

The President urged citizens to take care of their health and be responsible. “Take care of yourself, it all depends on you. Masks, respirators – these are your business. We will not force you in this matter. However, remember that these are you who are responsible for your health. We will not pressure anyone. We will explain and convince you that this should be done,” Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed.

The President also thanked people for taking heed of these calls. “Vaccination in the country has increased 3-5 times after our meeting,” he said.
