Lukashenko congratulates President of Iran on 43rd anniversary of Islamic Revolution Victory

On behalf of the Belarusian people and himself, the President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has congratulated the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi and the citizens of this country on the 43rd anniversary of the Islamic Revolution Victory – as reported by the press service of the Belarusian leader

"Tehran's firm position on ensuring sovereignty, determination to protect the people’s historical choice, and dedication to the ideas of social justice enable the country to successfully overcome difficulties," the Head of State stressed.

Aleksandr Lukashenko noted that strong relations of friendship and trust have been established between the two states – and this is especially valuable at our present time. At the same time, the President shared his view that the potential of bilateral trade and economic co-operation is not fully realised. The Head of State expressed interest in implementing joint projects, primarily in industry and agriculture.

“I recall our personal meeting within the framework of the Heads of State Council of the Shanghai Co-operation Organisation in Dushanbe in September 2021 with warmth. We then discussed important issues on the international agenda," the President of Belarus noted.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished good health and fruitful activity to the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and peace and prosperity to the friendly Iranian people.
