Lukashenko congratulates Patriarch Kirill on enthronement
The President has congratulated Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill on the enthronement anniversary – as informed by the Belarusian leader’s press service
“Over the years of your tireless work, you have gained the highest authority of a pastor, a wise church leader and a talented theologian. You have shown yourself to be a dedicated follower and defender of traditional Orthodox values," the congratulatory message reads.
The Head of State expressed deep gratitude to the Head of the Russian Orthodox Church for his great contribution to development of comprehensive ties between Belarus and Russia and their peoples, to strengthening civil peace, and deepening humanitarian contacts.
The Belarusian leader wished Patriarch Kirill good health and unflagging strength in his service for the betterment of all Christians.
