Lukashenko congratulates mass media workers on professional holidays

The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has congratulated employees of Belarus’ information and communication sphere on their professional holidays: Press Day and Radio, Television and Communication Workers’ Day

“Rapid development of communication means, e-media and social networks has radically changed people’s lives globally. Opportunities for the economy, social sphere and ordinary communication have expanded. However, at the same time, the world and the person have become more vulnerable. It is no coincidence that the notion of ‘information warfare’ has joined our vocabulary,” the congratulatory message reads.

The Head of State believes that employees of the mass media sector, specialists who ensure the operation of communication systems are actually on the information front where an uncompromising battle for the minds and souls of people is developing. “We cannot afford to lose to those who intend to cancel our history and culture, and also the state itself and the Belarusian people,” Aleksandr Lukashenko added.

“Your noble mission is not simply to publish a newspaper or prepare a TV report – but to bring people a life-giving word of truth that helps them rise above the commonplace, gives them strength to create, and makes them true patriots of the Motherland,” the President said in his message.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished good health, happiness, prosperity, peaceful sky, new creative projects and achievements to mass media workers.
