Lukashenko congratulates 60th separate Baranovichi Red Banner Order of Alexander Nevsky Regiment on its 80th anniversary

The President of Belarus has congratulated the personnel and veterans of the 60th separate Baranovichi Red Banner Order of Alexander Nevsky Communications Regiment on the 80th anniversary of its formation

The Head of State notes that the regiment’s glorious history began in the summer of 1942 – during severe battles near Kharkov. The Stalingrad and Kursk battles then followed, as well as liberation of Belarus, Poland and the victorious May of 1945 in Germany.

"Reliable communication has always been and still remains the nerve of the army, one of the decisive factors for effective management of troops both in peacetime and in wartime, the key to their high combat capability and successful use on the battlefield," the congratulatory message reads. “By solving significant tasks to maintain the communication system in constant combat readiness, the regiment’s personnel are persistently improving their professional skills, while mastering modern equipment and invariably showing high training results during large-scale exercises."

Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasises, “I am convinced that each of you is clearly aware of the challenges and threats the Belarusian state is facing these days, and will do everything to reliably ensure peace and tranquillity in our native Belarus."

The President wishes the personnel and veterans of the regiment good health, happiness and new successes in their military service for the benefit of the country and its people.
