Lukashenko congratulated UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres on his birthday

The Head of State extended congratulations to the Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, on his birthday – as informed by the Belarusian leader’s press service

"I am convinced that – under your professional leadership – the United Nations will be able to restore its reputation as a leading international organisation and an expert in solving global problems of modern times," the President’s congratulatory message reads.

Aleksandr Lukashenko noted that Minsk attaches special importance to co-operation with the UN and its member states on the basis of mutual respect and trust while preserving the principles of sovereignty and non-interference in internal affairs.
