Lukashenko congratulated President of Azerbaijan on his birthday
Aleksandr Lukashenko congratulated Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on his birthday – as reported by the Belarusian leader’s press service
"It is gratifying that the words you said two decades ago – ‘I believe in a happy future of Azerbaijan’ – have become prophetic. I know that the Azerbaijani people highly appreciate your efforts aimed at development of the economy and social sphere of the state, protection of its foreign policy interests, and increase in the welfare of citizens," the congratulatory message reads. “Fraternal Azerbaijan, thanks to the skilful and firm leadership, is playing an increasingly significant role in the region and the strengthening Turkic world. The successful chairmanship in the Non-Aligned Movement, of which Belarus is a member, has earned Baku international authority and well-deserved respect."
Aleksandr Lukashenko noted that he always remembers meetings with Ilham Aliyev with pleasure. "I appreciate the established friendly and trusting personal relations, constructive communication and mutual focus on close mutually beneficial co-operation," the Belarusian leader stressed.
The Head of State wished the President of Azerbaijan good health, happiness and new achievements in his multifaceted and responsible activities.
