Lukashenko congratulated people of Greece on Independence Day

President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated the people of Greece on Independence Day, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service

"This holiday symbolises the strength and unity of the Greek people in the struggle for their identity and freedom. Belarusians have also endured harsh trials and cherish their own history, which is why they have always been sympathetic to the Greeks and have advocated maintaining and deepening bilateral relations. I am sure that the return of our countries to a constructive dialogue is very important in a broader context, from the point of view of establishing harmony in the European region and creating a calm and peaceful future," the message of greetings reads.

The Head of State confirmed his interest in restoring and developing Belarusian-Greek co-operation and invited Greek citizens to visit Belarus more often to make sure of its hospitality and goodwill.
