Lukashenko congratulated Mattarella on re-election as Italian President
On behalf of the Belarusian people and himself, President Aleksandr Lukashenko congratulated Sergio Mattarella on his re-election as Italy’s Head of State – as reported by the Belarusian leader’s press service
"This trust of the people is evidence of the recognition of your authority and the talent of a politician confirmed by time," the congratulatory message reads.
The President of Belarus added that, this year, the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries is celebrated, “The history of our co-operation, including our personal meeting in 2016 and its results, confirm that we can achieve significant successes for the benefit of our peoples by moving along the path of mutually respectful dialogue, open and constructive relations, and taking into account the interests of both sides.”
The Head of State expressed hope that good traditions of Belarus-Italy active interaction at the highest political level, activation of the existing joint projects and launch of new ones, search for additional areas of mutual interest will be preserved and renewed.
Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Sergio Mattarella good health and success.
