The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has congratulated the leadership, active and retired employees of the Vitebsk Customs Service on the 30th anniversary of its establishment – as reported in the Belarusian leader’s press service

“Over the years, your team has accumulated serious personnel and technical potential to solve the most important state tasks aiming to support Belarusian exports, ensure transit and a favourable business climate at the proper level,” the Head of State noted. “All this enables you to successfully carry out your functions today in the face of growing external pressure and ongoing attempts to destabilise the situation inside the country.”

“I am convinced that you will continue to serve the country and people with honour and dignity, protecting Belarus’ sovereignty and independence, timely and adequately responding to constantly emerging new risks and threats to the country’s economy and its domestic market. This is facilitated by the well-coordinated activities of the management and customs officers, your professionalism, skills and patriotism,” the President underlined.

Aleksandr Lukashenko addressed special words of gratitude to the retired employees, who laid down the traditions of service, improved the forms and methods of work, and today pass on experience to young employees to achieve high performance.

The President wished everyone strong health, a peaceful sky and new achievements for the benefit of the Fatherland.
