Head of State Aleksandr Lukashenko congratulated Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on his appointment as Chairman of the newly created Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan and his recognition as the National Leader of the Turkmen people, the Belarusian President’s press service reports
"I am convinced that your wisdom, foresight, and rich experience of a statesman will continue to contribute to the dynamic development of Turkmenistan in all spheres, strengthening the country's authority in the international arena," the congratulatory message reads. “It is symbolic that such vital internal political transformations took place on the day of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Minsk and Ashgabat. I hope for your further active participation in the promotion of the Belarusian-Turkmen multifaceted co-operation.”
Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov good health and luck in his new responsible post, also wishing happiness and prosperity to the people of Turkmenistan.
