Lukashenko congratulated Chinese President Xi Jinping on Spring Festival

President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping on the Spring Festival, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service

“The past year was marked by significant achievements of the People’s Republic of China, which remains a benchmark and a role model,” the congratulatory message reads. “We are witnessing a new development of China’s foreign policy, responsible and responsive to modern challenges, reflecting its global role in the world, as a result of the 3rd plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee. At the same time, respect for independence, territorial integrity, observance of other states’ rights and non-interference in their internal affairs remain the invariable principles of your country.”

Aleksandr Lukashenko expressed gratitude to Xi Jinping for the personal and tireless attention he pays to relations with Belarus.

“As you noted in your New Year greetings to the people of China, ‘on the new journey of Chinese modernisation, everyone is a key actor, every effort counts, and every ray of light shines’. Our country has been, is and will be a reliable partner of the People’s Republic of China in achieving all its goals. There is no doubt that in 2025 we will continue to progressively and systematically strengthen the all-weather and comprehensive strategic partnership, and our friendship will be a benchmark for the whole world,” the Belarusian leader said.

“On the Spring Festival, I wish you, dear friend, health, well-being and new successes in your responsible state activity, and I wish Great China peace, development and further prosperity,” the President wished.
