The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, congratulated Abdul Latif Rashid on his election as President of Iraq – as informed by the Belarusian leader’s press service
"I am convinced that your tenure in this post will be a time of new achievements in sustainable development of the country’s economy and society. I invite Baghdad to resume constructive contacts with Minsk at all levels. For my part, I confirm readiness to contribute to intensification of co-operation and look forward to further expansion of fruitful liaisons of our states," the congratulatory message reads.
Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Abdul Latif Rashid good health, success in his political career and continued support of the Iraqis who entrusted him with this responsible mission.
