Lukashenko confident Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan to finally settle border issues in 2024
The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, at today’s meeting with the heads of delegations participating in the 19th meeting of the CIS heads of security agencies and intelligence services, expressed confidence that Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan will finally settle border issues next year
“I praise the leaders [of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan] all the time. Well done! More than 90 percent of the border has already been agreed upon. I’m sure next year they will sign an agreement on the border.”
The Belarusian Head of State stressed that in the current situation, the CIS member states must stick together more than ever, “Do not break away under any circumstances, do not leave, because you will be thrown away. Disadvantaged people, caught in a difficult situation, deadlocked, have only one way out: to be given a gun and go fighting. I’m confident that the format of such meetings will serve as an example for other departments, contributing to further increasing the level of interaction, identifying and suppressing threats to the security of our states. Belarus and the Belarusian people are always open to you and ready for any co-operation. We are ready to do everything we can for you. You know very well what we are capable of. This is your job.”
