Lukashenko: common focus of Belarus and Uzbekistan on the result is key for successful development of relations

The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has extended Independence Day greetings to President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev – as reported in the Belarusian leader’s press service

“Modern Uzbekistan is confidently following the path of large-scale economic and social reforms, achieving a steady increase in the well-being of its citizens. The international authority of the state, playing an important role in shaping the system of regional security in Central Asia, is being strengthened,” the congratulatory message reads.

Aleksandr Lukashenko is convinced that a common focus on implementing the significant potential of Belarusian-Uzbek co-operation will be key for successful development of bilateral relations, which are based on long-standing traditions of friendship and mutual trust between the two nations.

The Belarusian Head of State wished Shavkat Mirziyoyev strong health, happiness and the realisation of all his plans, and the people of Uzbekistan – peace and prosperity.
