Lukashenko comments on the purpose of nationwide conference
Speaking at the nationwide conference dedicated to Actualisation of Methods and Forms of Work with the Population at the Local Level, the President of Belarus outlined the purpose of this event
“You all know my approaches,” noted Aleksandr Lukashenko. “Such events are not held in order to admire the success of the work done. Seminars are a kind of intermediate control over the fulfilment of those tasks that form the general political course of the state’s development. The main goals of our today’s meeting are to analyse the new challenges that time poses for us, identify issues that need to be improved, exchange experiences, and jointly develop adequate solutions.”
In his speech, the President also named the main factor that affects the lives of Belarusians and the state as a whole, “Over the past quarter of a century, we, Belarusians, have changed a lot. Based on the well-being foundation we have created, we strive for more and better. This is correct. This is the essence of development. The level of legal culture of citizens is rising, they are becoming more demanding, including towards the state, expecting a new quality of feedback from this state, i.e., from us. The demands of the population are growing, and we, the authorities, must comply with them. Such is an order. We are a socially oriented state.”
